Chef Keesha and Annette Davidson are bringing a (virtual) Rum extravaganza to you! We are excited for an afternoon for us to sit back, cut up and learn more about our favorite spirit- RUM, and to close off Women’s History Month with some trailblazing women in the industry. We will end of the afternoon with a mixology and rum pairing session.Panelist:
Joy Spence, Master Blender, Appleton Estate Rum - Jamaica
Joy is the first woman to hold the position of Master Blender in the spirits industry.
After graduating from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Science Degree, First Class Honours, Joy spent some years teaching chemistry, before moving to England to pursue a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Loughborough, where she excelled and graduated with honours.
Delphine Grader - CEO of Rhum Barbancourt, the biggest player in the spirits industry in Haiti. She became the fifth generation of her family, and the second woman, to steer the ship of the iconic Haitian distillery. Barbancourt is the oldest company in Haiti, and remains beloved in its home, a point of pride for its quality and global stature.
Maggie Campbell is a spirits, wine, flavor, and aroma expert with production and executive experience in the global drinks industry. She is the Founder and Principal at Half Pint CoCreation, Co-Creator and Co-Host of Treacherous Waters, and is currently a Masters of Wine student. Maggie served as President and Head Distiller of the spirits company Privateer Rum for 9 years elevating the company to a global brand.
